Thank You from The Career Wardrobe

Many thanks to all our attendees who brought accessories to donate to The Career Wardrobe, the nation’s largest independent, community-based non-profit organization serving women transitioning into the workforce by providing professional attire. They collected four large boxes of items at this year’s Pennsylvania Conference for Women.

We received a nice email from Sheri Cole, executive director of The Career Wardrobe.

“Not only did we collect more accessories than the we did in 2009, we made some wonderful connections and received great feedback from the attendees!

I also wanted to share with you how excited our clients were to be able to attend the conference. The Career Pavilion especially was such a valuable opportunity for them! Although I heard personally from each of our attendees how excited they were to participate, two have emailed me with their thanks and I wanted to make sure you saw the feedback, too!

Gloria Steinem has always been a personal influence on me and hearing her words today up close and personal was so moving. I learned a lot from the breakout sessions, enjoyed networking with women in all walks of the business world, made some quality connections and got a lot of support and inspiration.

Of course, I wore my Career Wardrobe suit and was pleasantly surprised to see some of the lovely women I’d met at the Style Me Hired event as well as reconnect with the lovely and helpful women who made my current situation better. I don’t know how else to say thank you. You guys have really come to my aide in a time where I thought I was all alone, inspiration, self esteem boosting, understanding, no judgements. Just women helping women.
