Yasmine Mustafa
YASMINE MUSTAFA is a social entrepreneur who is fueled by a passion to leverage technology for good. She is co-founder and CEO of ROAR for Good, a certified B-corp., with a mission to engage communities using technology and education to foster peace of mind and empathy. Prior to ROAR for Good, Mustafa founded and sold her first company, 123LinkIt. She also introduced non-profit Girl Develop It to Philadelphia, and currently sits on the board of Coded by Kids. The challenges she faced as an undocumented refugee of the Persian Gulf War drive her service as a champion for immigrants. BBC selected Mustafa as one of its 100 Women of 2016 for her work in empowering women. Additional recognition includes Upstart 100’s most dynamic people shaping business, Philadelphia Magazine’s Top 20 Best Philadelphian’s, Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2016 Tech Disruptors, Technologist of the Year from Philly Geek Awards, and Innovator of the Year by Rad Girls. More recently, she received the Women of Courage award from Lutheran Settlement House, Visionary Leader by the City of Philadelphia, and the Badge of Courage Award from WOAR (Women Organized Against Rape).
