TAMALA EDWARDS is the weekday co-anchor of 6abc’s Action News Mornings and a regular co-host of Inside Story, conducting probing interviews as well as moderating many election debates. Ms. Edwards’ prior roles with ABC include anchor of World News Now and World News This Morning, correspondent for World News Tonight and other ABC News programs, embedded reporter during the Iraq War, and White House correspondent. Before coming to ABC, Edwards was a staff writer, Washington bureau correspondent, and reporter at TIME Magazine. In addition to her vast coverage of domestic and international politics and political issues, Ms. Edwards has written on a broad array of diverse business, cultural, and lifestyle topics including the TIME cover story “Who Needs a Husband?” The Education Writers Association awarded Ms. Edwards first prize for her contribution to TIME‘s cover story “What Makes a Good School.” Vogue named her a journalist for “The Next Establishment,” and she was featured in Folio magazine’s “30 Under 30” list. Born in Georgia and raised in Texas, Edwards graduated from Stanford University with an honors Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations. Tamala and her husband are the proud parents of two young sons.
