Shawn Dawson Troutt

SHAWN DAWSON TROUTT is the vice president of licensing strategy at Cisco Systems, Inc. In this role, Troutt and team enable Cisco’s software and subscription business by developing licensing strategies, standards, and software policies. Her team is responsible for driving Cisco’s license simplification efforts and licensing methods, tools, and platforms. Troutt has been at Cisco for fifteen years. Prior to leading the licensing team, she was vice president & deputy general counsel in the legal department, where she led several key company-wide initiatives. Prior to joining Cisco, she was general counsel and assistant corporate secretary of Random Walk Computing (now a part of Accenture), a Wall Street technology firm that built customized software solutions for large financial service institutions. She is certified as a CIPP-E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) and a CPA. Troutt received her BS in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley and her JD from Harvard Law School. @cisco
