Patrick Tam
Patrick K. Tam leads corporate planning at Cisco. This encompasses driving three year and annual corporate strategic planning, identifying corporate priorities and funding of multi-year investments. Tam is also an executive sponsor of the 2000 plus member Early-In-Career Employee Resource Organization (ERO) at Cisco, focused on attracting, developing and retaining employees zero to five years into their careers. A 14-year Cisco veteran, Tam has served in many leadership roles across the company, including corporate, services, supply chain and management and strategy consulting. Tam and his teams are known for innovation and high-impact execution, earning a number of key honors including being named a Top 5 PMO in the industry, being awarded the first-ever Web 2.0 Innovation award from Cisco’s CEO John Chambers, and receiving the Company-Wide Excellence award in web design and user experience. Outside of Cisco, Tam has been a member of the PMI executive council, Gartner’s Business Value board, and has also published thought leadership in industry press and authored a children’s book titled “Reflections: Finding Happiness.” Tam earned an M.S. in industrial engineering and operations research from University of California, Berkeley and has completed Executive Programs from Stanford and Harvard School of Business. @cisco
