Mary Mawritz
DR. MARY MAWRITZ is an associate professor of management at Drexel LeBow College of Business. Her research focuses on three main topic areas: counterproductive behavior, ethics, and leadership. She is driven to better understand leadership and ethics more broadly, but she is most interested in explaining why employees (at all organizational levels) engage in behaviors that harm their organizations and how these behaviors affect organizations and other stakeholders. For much of Dr. Mawritz’s academic career, her research focused on the factors that contribute to abusive supervision in the workplace, but her current research mainly focuses on the concept of bottom-line mentality, with a deep interest in understanding what drives these mentalities in the workplace as well as the positive or negative effects of these mentalities. Her research has been published in a number of highly-respected academic journals.
