LISA DESPHY is a 27+ year media sales executive currently serving as the director of sales of WURD Radio. Pennsylvania’s only independent Black-owned talk radio station. She rose to director of sales in 2020, consistently setting new advertising sales records with her team over the last 4 years. Desphy’s expertise thrives in making connections with advertisers and the audiences they want to reach. Over the past 6 years, Desphy has been successfully “inviting” both local and national advertisers to join the WURD “Family”, by providing a safe space to either promote services or to learn more about how the company is supporting the community. Desphy shares her insight, talent, and time with NABOB, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Cheltenham Education Foundation, Praise Is the Cure, and Arcadia University’s LOVE Program.
