Laura Okmin
LAURA OKMIN is the founder of GALVANIZE, an organization that conducts seminars around the country, teaching participants to build their own foundations. Okmin established The Stuart Scott Minority Scholarship in memory of her best friend and ESPN anchor who passed away in 2015. You’ll find Okmin on the sidelines for the NFL on FOX and Westwood One’s NFL national radio games. She’s covered more than ten Super Bowls, hosted Olympic coverage from the London, Sochi, and Pyeongchang games, and reported from multiple World Series and NBA and NHL championships. Okmin founded LO Productions in 2007. In honor of her late mother, Okmin wrote a children’s book, titled Mommy Has Cancer. She is also a communications coach for clients that include Super Bowl coaches, Gold Medal Olympians, and over two hundred of the world’s top professional women hockey players. She sits on the board of trustees of the University of Kansas William Allen White Journalism School, and is on the advisory board of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission. @lauraokmin @galvanizelife
