Kristyn Stewart
Kristyn Stewart is a dynamic leader and with an extensive background in educational programming to improve outcomes for youth and families. As director of Foundations’ Philadelphia Center for Arts and Technology®. Stewart oversees PCAT’s staff and develops and implements programs that offer children, youth and adults the opportunity to develop the academic, work and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. She has served as a Teach for America Corps member and Development Fellow, spending three years teaching secondary English, AP Language and reading support, in the economically disadvantaged Mississippi Delta. Stewart started a college access youth development program, CAP, to increase college acceptance and completion rates of disadvantaged students and has served as program manager in the Student Success Center at University City, a comprehensive high school in the School District of Philadelphia. She has also trained teachers and administrators on integrating career and college exploration and readiness into the classroom curriculum. Stewart earned an M.S. in non-profit leadership and development from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a B.A. in political science and B.A. in communications from the University of Pittsburgh. @Foundations_Inc
