Kristine Freind
KRISTINE FREIND is currently the U.S. oncology talent acquisition project leader at AstraZeneca (AZ) Pharmaceuticals. In this role, she has the responsibility to optimize the end-to-end recruiting and talent acquisition processes for all oncology roles in the U.S. from early discovery in R&D through commercial roles in the U.S. specialty care organization. Freind was the U.S. HR lead for the BMS diabetes acquisition and integration in 2014, and was the U.S. change management lead for AZ’s workday implementation 2015. She also led the development and delivery of the U.S. Wellness Strategy in 2012. Freind has been on point to enhance the employee experience that HR delivers in the U.S. and led a team responsible for multiple employee performance and engagement initiatives including the U.S. recognition strategy, manager capability uplift and driving culture transformation across the U.S. commercial business. Freind earned a B.A. in biology from LaSalle University and an M.S. in clinical nutrition, concentrated in human biochemistry, from Drexel University. She is also a Registered Dietitian, having received her professional education and training at the University of Delaware.
