Farnoosh Torabi
Farnoosh Torabi is a personal finance journalist, author and TV personality. The New York Times calls her advice “perfectly practical.” She is the author of the new book, “Psych Yourself Rich: Get The Mindset & Discipline You Need to Build Your Financial Life.” She is also a personal finance contributor for Credit.com, Yahoo! Finance and Moneywatch.com. Torabi recently wrapped the television show “Bank of Mom and Dad,” coaching young women struggling with piles of debt. She previously appeared inTLC’s “REAL SIMPLE. REAL LIFE.” Torabi’s work and advice has been featured in national magazines and newspapers, including Real Simple, Glamour, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Money Magazine, People, Entrepreneur, Newsweek.com, Time, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Daily News and The New York Post. Torabi has appeared nationally on “NBC’s Today Show,” CNN, MSNBC, “Larry King Live,” “The View,” “The Nate Berkus Show,” “Live! With Regis and Kelly,” “Good Morning America,” “The Early Show” and Fox News. Torabi began her career as a researcher and reporter for Money Magazine during and after college. Following that, she moved over to NY1 News, where she became the 24-hour news station’s business producer and on-air reporter. She was also a small business and personal finance columnist for AM New York from 2004 to 2008. Most recently Torabi was a senior financial correspondent and host of “Wall Street Confidential” with Jim Cramer for TheStreet.com TV. In 2010, she also filled in as a syndicated financial correspondent and anchor for CBS “Newspath.”
