Estella Hyde
ESTELLA HYDE is a lead spokesperson for AARP Pennsylvania on the CARE Act. Hyde’s presentations on the CARE Act, and how it benefits caregivers and their families, have educated thousands of Pennsylvanians across the Commonwealth. She has been featured on numerous television and radio shows discussing caregiving issues. Hyde has volunteered with AARP for over 20 years in various roles, including the prestigious roles of state president and regional volunteer director. She is the current chair of the Pennsylvania Council on Aging, and has served on the state board as well as chair of the Pennsylvania Nurses Foundation. Hyde has worked in various nursing positions and nurse educator roles, retiring from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania as professor emeritus. Hyde earned an ADN from Kent State University, a BSN from Villa Maria College, a MSN and PNP from the University of Pittsburgh, and PhD-ABD from Case Western Reserve University. She co-authored a review book for nurses and served in the US Army Reserve, leaving at the rank of Major. @aarp
