Elizabeth Davenport, PhD.
ELIZABETH DAVENPORT, Ph.D., is a scientific leader in the cell and gene therapy department of cell process development at GlaxoSmithKline. Since joining GSK in 1994, she has enjoyed a fulfilling career in pharmaceutical research and development, first as a cancer biology bench scientist before taking on leadership roles of increasing responsibility and complexity. Over the last twenty three years, she has become an experienced manager and leader of global multi-disciplinary teams. Davenport is an active member of GSK’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, is lean sigma trained, and facilitates Strengths Finder workshops at GSK. She has developed an extensive network and enjoys meeting, mentoring, and coaching people with diverse talents. In her spare time, Davenport volunteers as the chairwoman of a Lake Committee for a private community. Davenport earned a BS in biology from Muhlenberg College, and a Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology from Purdue University. @gsk
