Heseung Song, Ed.D.
Heseung Song, Ed.D. founded Mighty Engine, an award-winning marketing firm, in 2000. As president/CEO, Dr. Song oversees the business strategy and creative process for major accounts. Mighty Engine’s mission is to help people who help people with the majority of the agency’s clients representing nonprofits, charity causes, social enterprises or economic development initiatives. Among many other recognitions, Dr. Song was named a “Forty Under Forty” awardee and 2011 “Minority Business Leader” by the Philadelphia Business Journal. She is also a member of the Greenlight Fund selection committee and the Temple University Urban Apps and Maps advisory board, an alum of LEADERSHIP Philadelphia, and the convener of two select business networks: The Huddle (for influential people who advance positive changes through civic engagement) and Type Asian (for stellar Asian American businesswomen in the region). She is a trustee of East Rock Institute, the nation’s first Korean cultural institute, and serves as board president of Children’s Village, a national model of excellence in early childhood education. A graduate of Yale University with a B.A. in English, Dr. Song went on to earn a M.A. in education and a doctorate in developmental psychology from Harvard University. @themightyengine
