Dafni Bika, Ph.D.
DAFNI BIKA, Ph.D. is vice president with Bristol-Myers Squibb leading the global drug product manufacturing science and technology organization located in New Brunswick, N.J. Bika industrializes medicines by uniquely balancing technical expertise with business understanding and inspiring discretionary performance. In this strategic role, she leads the group in leveraging technology for the efficient and effective execution of manufacturing and packaging operations at BMS’ manufacturing sites worldwide. She also plays a critical role at the technical interface with the R&D organization to ensure the transfer of robust manufacturing processes and accelerating new medicines to patients. She joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2009 after spending 10 years with MERCK in West Point, P.A. Prior to joining MERCK, Bika was part of the Viochrom S.A. organization in Athens, Greece. She began her career at Procter & Gamble’s European Technical Center in Brussels, Belgium. Bika earned a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in materials science and engineering from the University of Rochester, New York and a Diploma in chemical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. @bmsnews
