Christine M. Martin
CHRISTINE M. MARTIN is public affairs vice president at PPL Corporation. She oversees the corporation’s advocacy and policy development efforts at the state and federal levels. She also chairs the employee political action committee, PPL People for Good Government. Before joining PPL in 2003, she was deputy secretary for water management in Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection, where she was responsible for statewide water resources management and policy. Martin also served as senior policy manager for environmental, infrastructure, energy and regulatory issues for Governors Tom Ridge and Mark Schweiker and as executive policy specialist for Governor Ridge. A native of Pennsylvania, Martin serves on the boards of the PA Chamber PAC, PA Business Council Education Foundation, PA State System of Higher Education Foundation, Inc. and is VP of the Utilities State Government Organization She also serves on the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley public policy and advocacy committee, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) advisory committee. She earned a B.S. in international studies with minors in economics and French from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in public administration from Pennsylvania State University.
